I awoke to the news of the collection and I am SUPER EXCITED! I absolutely love Monif C's collections and this one is no exception. Here are a couple of my faves:

American Apparel's XL Model Search

Hello dears,

American Apparel is having a contest featuring full figured women who love their disco pants as well as other AA items. The contest is running until September 8, 2011 and all you need to do is send in two photos of your beautiful self. One photo should be a clear image of your face while the other should be of your body. The winner will be flown out to Los Angelos to star in their own photoshoot and there's even prizes for runner-ups.

Go forth and serve fashion you pretty, young things.

Fall 2011 Online Shopping Wish List

The beautiful Fall is coming and that can only mean one thing...fashion week. I want to build a wardrobe that's comfortable and edgy. For some reason as of late there's been a super chic biker-chick just dying to get out of me so...I succumb. Here are my online picks for my Fall 2011 wardrobe:

I hope you liked my picks and I HIGHLY suggest you take a look at Carmakoma's lookbook 'All Eyes On You' it's impeccably styled and really beautiful. If there's any plus size brand I could eat, breathe, and live my life in it is definitely Carmakoma, they just get me!

Seeing DOTS...

I took a trip to New York with a couple of my girlfriends for some retail therapy and we stopped by one our favourite spots Dots. I found these baby's at less than 25 bucks. They have elastic at the back for stretch in the calves and they're over-the-knee. Le sigh, they look so luxe and fab I think I wanna marry them.

Unfortunately Dots isn't in Toronto ladies but a trip across the border will be well worth it!

 

Ooh! While on the trip I also found this little gem, isn't she darling?

Model Citizen: Robyn Lawley in Vogue Australia

Plus size model Robyn Lawley graced the pages of this month's Vogue Australia with a fabulous spread.

Editor-in-Chief Kirstie Clements argued, "this is the first time Vogue Australia has shot a larger model and of course now that we have done it, I ask myself why we didn't do it sooner." Hopefully we'll be seeing more "larger" models in the future.

Forever Young at Eatons Centre

This weekend I FINALLY got to check out the new Forever 21 at Eatons Centre only to find that it did have a plus size section! Unfortunately the section was just as small as the one in Fairview Mall but lucky for me I came out with a few items.

There were quite a few things that I wanted but I decided to stick to basic items. My new year's resoluton was to stop filling my closet with items I won't get much wear out of. So I stocked up on their fab skinny jeans, only $14.20 each.

This cute crop top was on sale for 11 bucks so I went for it.

And I couldn't resist grabbing a couple of accessories on the way to the registers. This belt is freakin amazing and as with all Forever21+ sizes the size goes up to 3x. The pyramid ring is elasticized and for those of you wondering the nail polish is "sky blue."
